Josette's primary love is the lyric essay. Her poetry and essays have been honored by a Pushcart nomination for 2015 and include appearances in Marco Polo Arts Magazine, Riverbend, The Noun, Storm Cellar, and other publications. Her essay, "Swing," is forthcoming in 2015 in Brief Encounters, a W.W. Norton anthology of short nonfiction edited by Judith Kitchen and Dinah Lenney.

 

Josette writes literary reviews for River Teeth: A Journal of Creative Nonfiction and teaches part-time at Purdue University's north central campus. She lives with her family in LaPorte, Indiana.
